In this section, you can read more about the different rates you can book at UWC Connect and keep up to date with our latest booking policy. Always make sure you know the terms that apply to your room rental.
RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
GENERAL
This only applies to regular room rental.
Summer camps, leirskule and other groups have special rules, please consult your agreement for further details.
You and UWC Connect agree to the terms and conditions of the room rental. The name of the company that runs the accommodation (hereinafter referred to as ‘UWC Connect’ or ‘The Accommodation’) and with which the agreement is concluded, is stated in the booking confirmation. Unless a special agreement is concluded, the following rules apply.
BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION
A booking is binding once it has been confirmed and you have received an order number. You may receive this verbally, in writing, or through our booking system. When you make a booking, you must state your name, address, email address, arrival and departure time. It is important for you to provide your email address so you can receive your booking confirmation. Different terms apply to different rates; please see the detailed pricing information.
EARLY DEPARTURE
If you have booked a room for a certain length of time but leave the accommodation earlier, you must pay for the whole stay, unless otherwise agreed with by UWC Connect beforehand.
CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS
Cancellation terms depend on the price agreed at the time of booking. Read the information in the price list, carefully. If you do not show up and you have not cancelled the booking in advance, you will be charged for your whole stay.
PAYMENT
Payment in advance is required for certain price offers. See our price list for more information.
ROOM KEY
If you are staying in the Thor Heyerdahl building, you will receive a physical key and key fob. The keyfob must be used on the front door, and the physical key works on your bedroom door.
On departure, your room key must be left in the postbox outside of the Henry Dunant building.
Failure to return the key will result in a fee to replace the key being added to your order, if you paid in advance you will receive an invoice after the stay with the fee.
YOUR OWN SAFETY
Always familiarise yourself with the emergency exits, alarm switches and fire extinguishers. See the instructions posted on the back of the door of your room. Also, please read the leaflet: “Welcome to UWC Red Cross Nordic”
PRICE LIST
GENERAL PRICE
Reservations can be changed for free. Rooms are able to be cancelled according to the following conditions:
- Up to 2 months before arrival: Reservation can be cancelled and will receive 100% refund
- Up to 2 weeks before arrival: Reservation can be cancelled and you will received 75% refund
- 2 Weeks before arrival: Reservation cannot be cancelled and will not be refunded.
When changing a reservation; dates, number of nights, room type and number of persons can be changed, if available. The difference in price between the original reservation and the new reservation will be paid after departure if the new price exceeds the original price. Rebooking that results in a lower price than already paid will not be reimbursed. Changing the reservation is allowed 5 days before your arrival day. Payment details will be sent after the booking confirmation.
GRADUATION PRICE
All graduation bookings include dinner on arrival day and breakfast on the morning of the graduation.
Reservations can be changed for free. Bookings are able to be cancelled according to the following conditions:
- Up to 8 weeks before arrival: 100% refund, minus booking fee (200 NOK).
- Up to 4 weeks before arrival: 50% refund, minus minus booking fee (200 NOK).
- From 4 weeks up to arrival: No refund.
When changing a reservation; the number of persons and room type can be changed. The difference in price between the original reservation and the new reservation will be paid before a new confirmation is created, if the new price exceeds the original price. Rebooking that results in a lower price than already paid will not be reimbursed. Changing the reservation is allowed 5 days before your arrival day. Changes are subject to the availability of rooms. Payment is made before arrival via an online link.
REUNION TICKET PRICE
Reservations can be changed for free. Tickets are able to be cancelled according to the following conditions:
- Up to 8 weeks before arrival: 100% refund, minus booking fee (200 NOK).

- From 4 weeks up to arrival: No refund.
