UWC Leirskule is on the campus of UWC Red Cross Nordic and we use many of the same facilities.
The camp children slept in new accommodation buildings at the end of the student village and had all meals in the UWC RKN's canteen.
An auditorium and classrooms are available here, and a large, beautiful outdoor area that invites you to many great activities!

Campus

UWC Leirskule is located on the campus of UWC Red Cross Nordic in Haugland, located by a bay along a beautiful fjord, Flekkefjorden, in Fjaler municipality.

Haugland is about 50 minutes' drive south of Førde and 3 hours north of Bergen. The school was established in 1995 and since then the campus has developed into a very beautiful area with constantly new buildings and an extensive range of activities that the camp school takes advantage of. All the facilities maintain a high standard and the area is under constant renewal and development.

Accommodation

UWC Leirskule has a capacity of up to 85 guests. Accommodation in two beautiful new buildings, opened by Her Majesty Queen Sonja, autumn 2015. The pupils sleep together in 4- or 8-person rooms, the vast majority with their own bathroom attached to the room. We have some single rooms with bathrooms available for the teachers. The building also has a large wardrobe and gathering room for cozy evenings. Many of the rooms are universally designed and the entrance on the main floors is suitable for wheelchair users.

Her Majesty Queen Sonja is UWC RCN's high patron and opened the accommodation building for use by UWC Leirskule, Henry Dunant and Thor Heyerdahl, in the autumn of 21 September 2015.

Mealtimes

Breakfast and dinner at UWC Leirskule is served in the canteen of UWC RCN. Everyone must make a packed lunch during breakfast.

Skilled chefs serve food from all over the world and ensure that all the pupils get healthy and nutritious food - so that the children have enough left over to take part in all the fun activities. With long active days, it is extra important that the children have enough and the right food. If there is a need for special diets, we have extensive experience in arranging for this, as long as we are notified well in advance.

In the canteen you have plenty of time to chat and get to know the students and teachers from all over the world.
